Help social scientists understand how people are managing life changes during this pandemic. Your perspective is important!

The COVID-19 pandemic is changing the way everyone across the globe is living. In addition to physical health concerns, people are experiencing a range of psychological and interpersonal challenges. The Anxiety, Stress, and Relationships Lab at George Mason University is conducting an online survey to learn more about these challenges, and what types of approaches are helping people cope.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT IS THIS STUDY?

The novel coronavirus disease of 2019 (COVID-19) is affecting the lives of people across the globe. We are gathering information about how people are impacted, how they are coping, and how they are connecting with others during this time. This information will help us better understand what advice and approaches are most beneficial for developing and maintaining coping strategies, in the case of a similar experience in the future.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

You can participate if you are 18 years old or older, can understand written English, and have access to the internet and an email account.

WHAT WOULD I HAVE TO DO?

First, you would complete an online survey that will take between 20-60 minutes to complete, depending on your current living situation. You can take breaks if you need to! Then, we would send you shorter, weekly surveys for 3 weeks, and then every 2 weeks thereafter, to keep track of how you are doing as things return to normal. You may opt out of those later surveys at any time.
